My art practice involves using old found photographs from my childhood and experimenting with these through image transfers and painting. I attempt to bring the imagery back to life and abstract in such a way the image is not a copy, but more of a reworking of the image as new forms are added or subtracted from the scenes. Also through the use of layering image transfers, some images or parts of images appear more than others and this plays the part of how the memories appear as either clear or distorted. I love working with image transfers and the mix of paint and digital photo manipulation experimentation, as these altogether can give endless possibilities with some surprising and sometimes strange results.
